Eligibilities:
- Full-time B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering candidates pass-outs or final-year students (passing out in 2026), in the following specified discipline:
- Ceramic
- Chemical
- Civil
- Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/IEM
- Mechanical
- Metallurgy
- Mineral
- Mining
- Candidates who have completed three-year diploma and directly joined 2nd year of engineering of BE/ B Tech / B Sc (Engg) are also eligible
- Must have attended Full time AICTE/ UGC approved Campus Program
- Candidates who would have passed their minimum qualification exam not earlier than March 2022 are only eligible to apply
- Preference will be given to the candidates who are a domiciled of the States of Jharkhand, Punjab, Maharashtra, and Odisha
- General Candidates: Minimum 65% or 6.5 CGPA (aggregate)
- PwD Candidates: Minimum 60% or 6.0 CGPA (aggregate)
- Transperson: Minimum 60% or 6.0 CGPA (aggregate)
- ST/SC Community: Minimum 60% or 6.0 CGPA (aggregate)
Program Details:
- Selected Candidates will be placed as Engineer Trainees for 1 year
- The trainees will be subject to evaluations on regular basis during the training period.
- On successful completion of training, they will be considered for full-time employment as Assistant Manager (IL6) at Tata Steel
- Training of those selected candidates who fail in their Degree programme or are unable to produce the pass certificate with the marks as detailed above, by 31st August 2026, will be terminated.
Age Limit (As on 01 January 2026):
- For General Candidates: Should not be more than 30 years
- For Transgender, PwD, SC/ST Candidates: Should not be more than 32 years

Salary:
- Engineer Trainee will be offered an all-inclusive Stipend of Rs. 30,000 per month during 1 Year of Training.
- Engineer Trainee will be covered under the Medi-Claim scheme for self only (which includes hospitalization coverage of Rs. 2,50,000/- per annum and OPD coverage of Rs. 6,000/- per annum)
- Post successful completion of training, a CTC of INR 7 lacs per Annum, along with other perks and benefits as per company policy, will be offered to those appointed as Assistant Managers.
Selection Process:
- Eligible candidates will undergo an online functional domain Test followed by a behavioural assessment.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews either in person or on a virtual medium.
